Recently I saw a Safestyle UK TV advert (they do double glazing) featuring that titanic “comedy” duo Canon and Ball. That is “duo” as in “duodenal” as in “ulcer”.
I thought the talentless cretins were dead or something. But no! The local free-sheet that turned-up today contained an advert for Cannon and Ball at the Stockport Plaza on October 16th. And it’s £16 a ticket…
But wait, there is more. Their special guest is Stu “Ohh, I could crush a grape” Francis.
There really ought to be some sort of euthanasia scheme. Or a rest-home or something.
Actually it could be worse. It could also “star” the (prepare yourselves) Krankies…
Or the Chuckle Brothers.
I have never enjoyed watching these two guys but, you know, I don’t understand the scorn that you say you feel for them. Show business is tough and to even get where they did they had to work hard. Yeah, i agree, they did not display much talent but somebody is prepared to pay to see them so good luck to them. At least they are working and giving pleasure to some people. They are not benefit scroungers, terrorist or, even worse, politicians. Why waste your enormous talent for intelligent criticism on these two harmless guys?
