Guess it looks better than the 57 stars huh?

I suppose being shocked by this means I’m racist……

What level of arrogance equates the man with the country?

Way to unite the country fella.

It makes the 2012 logo almost look competent. Dreadful, dreadful.

  2. Sam Duncan says:

Nasty. But it’s hard to beat those Orwellian “HOPE” posters. Anybody who voted for him after seeing those deserves all they get.

  3. Kevin B says:

Linked by Insty this short visual history of the creepy Obama cult is rather frightening.

The number of ‘halo’ pictures was particularly disturbing.

  4. David Gillies says:

This juxtaposition should be plastered all over the place. Of course the MSM, which is essentially an arm of the Democratic party, won’t let it be.

and what about those of us who voted against the Supreme Narcissist?

As bad as things are, I’m *almost* hopefull: Obama’s been such a disaster that (barring massive voter fraud, which I know the Dems will attempt [and thus the almost]), I don’t know how he can be elected. I mean, even people I knew who voted for the bugger last time are saying they’ll vote against him come november.

I just hope that my hunch is right.

Just what I said, Zack: anyone who voted for him. Those who didn’t, don’t. And I sympathise: we had to put up with Blair for ten years.

David: I never thought of that. But talk about a gaffe.

sorry sam, that was an overreation on my part; I should calm down a bit before venting. But you’re right, that’s the way of the world.

Here’s a good discussion question for other kitty-counters. What do you think has been a bigger disaster: Obama’s foreign policy (esp. ME policy) or his economic policy?

  8. CountingCats says:

    Are you serious?

Sorry, comparing apples and pears here.

Which is worse, a rotten apple or a rotten pear?

  9. Single Acts of Tyranny says:

Zack, much as I wish the USA a positive outcome, I realy don’t see it coming from Barry or the Romney/Ryan axis.

They are both committed deficit spenders who will do nothing to address the deficit let alone the national debt, they both have dumb versions of state healthcare which should hasten US finances into the void more quickly. Both will continue lunatic foreign policy escapades that even the CIA conceed, cause huge blowback. Both are fiat currency devotees and Romney’s gold commission is nothing more than an ultra-cynical attempt to sucker Ron Paul voters (don’t be fooled). Both are bailout happy, QE supporters who love big government. Will either abolish the vile TSA or homeland security let alone the IRS?

They will do different things but within the same failed framework. It really makes little difference. Ron Paul is quite right not to endorse Romneyshambles, better Obama be at the helm when the iceberg hits.

  10. Single Acts of Tyranny says:

    “hasten more quickly” dah!

Note to self – be awake when posting!

  11. Lynne says:

Shit floats. And then it gets voted into office. Give piss a chance.

  12. Give us a break – has there ever been a US politician who DIDN’T wrap themselves in the flag. It’s ‘Getting Elected 101′

  13. Simon Jester says:

    i(nto)b,

The point is not that O has wrapped himself in the flag, but that he has usurped it.

  14. Sam Duncan says:

Indeed, Simon. But not just that: he’s presented the flag as five streaks of red less than a week after a similar image was associated with the death of a US ambassador. Hell, this very image could have been designed by his opponent’s campaign (and would have been condemned as “distasteful” and “unbecoming” by the O camp had it been).

The more I think about it, the more amazed I am that someone actually thought this was a good image. Even assuming it was designed before the Libyan incident – which it no doubt was – it should surely have been canned once the bloody handprint photos appeared.

No, that was an (apparently very bad) attempt at black humor.

SAoT – I don’t think Romny will magically fix the problems America faces, or reverse every bad descision that has been made in the past 60 years – but I’m voting for him anyway. The way I see it, 4 more years of Obama will send America flying off the cliff into fiscal/economic/political ruin. A Romney presidency (with a strong Teaparty contingent in Congress ), I think, will at least have a shot of preventing that; it won’t pull us away from the edge, but the way I see it, teatering on the edge with a chance of backing away, even a little, is better then flying off it and explodng on impact.

You think that we can rebuild after a collapse – I’m not so sure.
