   Of course a Progressive watching this would say “Of course I would walk up the stairs - it is the poor who can not” (although they say the same thing about women and ethnic minorities - both of whom are represented in the film). They do not understand that if the state keeps doing things for people they lose any real capacity to do things for themselves.

   Statists, not progressives.

   But I guess that’s just semantics - after all, statists regard the state as form of progress, do they not?
