Waxing Lyrical

Did you know that in the Great State of New Jersey Brazilian waxing is illegal?

I have only one question really. Who the hell actually sits down and actually thinks this nonsense up?

  1. I like this quote best:

“If it’s illegal, then why do they teach it in schools?”

Wot? They teach schoolkids how to do Brazilian waxes? Do they practise on each other? Are the boys allowed to watch?

  2. JuliaM says:

And who checks that the citizenry are obeying the law…? And how do they check?

  3. JuliaM says:

From that link: “…the state’s Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling.”

Good grief! Now, there’s an example of civil servants with far too much time on their hands…

I know Julia. The presence of that august body amused me a lot. What are they? Tough on mullets and tough on the causes of mullets.

Oh there are some wild and wacky laws out there in America, and indeed elsewhere.
But think of the freedoms these ancient Laws afford, Passport to Pimlico style,
due to being overlooked and definately underused.

    For instance,
It is still lawful to shoot a Welshman, with a bow and arrow
between the hours of… and of… and alternate weekends excluding Bank Holidays.

I’m afraid I dont know all the details,
I am in Hereford very seldom you see,
    For obvious reasons….

  6. El Draque says:

    It is indeed bizarre.
And Mark W, why do you assume the boys aren’t the ones being waxed? (Or maybe I am just naive.)

It’s common for US states to ban saggy jeans that reveal too much at the back. They insist on a crackdown !!

At last one state had a judge ruling on a case, that made it illegal to be naked in your own bedroom.
Because, you see, the concerned citizens had a right to believe that such things were not happening.
