Things Nick Finds #1

I found this:

audrey

In the back of the fridge along with some stuff that can only be described as “matter” by which I mean the sort of stuff Mulder picks up on the end of a pen and Scully stows in a zip-loc. Y’all welcome round my gaff for dinner BTW. I cook a mean matter surprise.

Anyway “matter” aside. Have any of you seen anything like this? What is it? And is it not more interesting than Mark Wardsworth’s mysterious holes?

Anyway it would appear a dead cabbage sprouted something. I have planted her in the garden and named her Audrey.

I shall keep you posted on the progress.

You eat vegetables ????? what are you, some sort of homosexual ? :)

  2. NickM says:

Well clearly I do not eat the whole cabbage. I guess that makes me bi.

“Some sort of homosexual”? How many sorts are there? Is this like when you go from D&D to AD&D and there are suddenly like so many more classes?

  3. RAB says:

Blimey! how big is your fridge?
You really had that lurking at the back and didn’t notice it when you went for a beer??

That big blonde health nazi from the telly would have a field day in your gaff wouldn’t she ;-)

Yep it is one of those purple cabbages, vibrant bugger isnt it!

Now with my Gardeners question time hat on and my yokels accent…

I odvise you plantin it in some nice west facin part of the garden, in clay soil if possible cos they like a bit of wet, and shaded if possible…

  4. JuliaM says:

    Oo-er!

“Keep behind me. There’s no sense in getting killed by a plant. “

If there’s a meteorite shower tonight, don’t look up! :)

  5. RobtE says:

Have you ever seen Little Shop of Horrors? If it starts talking then run. Don’t stop to pack. Just run.

  6. Darren says:

    Set Audrey free.

  7. FEED ME, SEYMOUR, FEED ME ! ! !

  8. Tom Papworth says:

I can’t be sure what it is, but are you sure it is not a pod in which a clone of you is being grown?

  9. Yup, clearly a triffid.

@ HSLD, clearly he doesn’t eat vegetables!

Ta for link, our hole is no more. When we returned from holiday the soil was nice and soft from the rain so I trampled on it, leaving a slight hollow but not much more than that.
