Counting Cats (CC) was taken to task by several other commenters for being too squeamish and perhaps even morally neutral about who are the good guys and who are the bad guys here. While I don't share CC's reaction to the video, I rejoice in his (her?) existence. What kind of a world would it be if people like CC didn't exist or if they had to hide their views? Who knows, we might all be living in something akin to Somalia. ... CC's civilized response is precisely why our military is a force for good in the world.

Was that Obama’s reaction to a national tragedy or his Oscar acceptance speech?
I mean he’s got the Nobel so now he needs the Oscar to keep him equal with his pal Al. Otherwise he’ll fret and Michelle will go off on one because her hubby has been denied an honour given to a white man and that is pure racism.
I still can’t believe Obama got the Nobel. I think future generations will see that as the point at which we truly entered the age of nucking futz.
If they can give out prizes for things people might do then can I please have my 2012 Olympic gold medal for… I dunno… maybe the 400m? Or maybe the heptathlon because that’s over two years I have to master all seven disciplines and have gender reassignment surgery. It could be done. And I want my prize now! Otherwise I’m not waxing my bikini line for nothing!
Christ, he really has lost the plot already hasn’t he?
And is anyone else getting really pissed off with his talking to the audience as if they were a bunch of thick twelve year olds, with that wagging finger gesture of his?
