Climate hysteric

What a nasty individual James Hanson is. Even George Monbiot doesn’t want to turn people who disagree with him into criminals.

Wonder when he will admit Global Warming stopped six years ago? Since 1940 there have been 28 years of warming, despite a straight line 30% increase in CO2.

The AGW hypothesis has been falsified over and again, but they keep it up, getting more frantic as the data moves against them. Well, consider it, what will happen to Hansons career when we all finally get sick of his hysterical hatemongering? Even now, people are suffering as a result of bad policy generated by his claims.

As a BTW – did you know, for simplicity of calculation, the IPCC cited models, to a model, all assume the atmosphere is infinitely thick? I can see a real world conflict right there.

How many other false assumptions do they make in order to simplify calculations?

The central equation of AGW is:

    P * H = constant.

As P (Plausability) goes down. H (Hysteria) ramps up to compensate.

Oh, Cats… These aren’t calculations in the classic sense of things. This is modelling which isn’t quite thee same thing. The Great GrandDaddy of atmsopheric modelling was something Ed Lorenz at the NOAA built in the 50s or 60s. He reckoned it was the simplest possible tinker-toy atmsopheric model which would he hoped all the understanding of some atmospheric phenomena.

He couldn’t build anything more complex because of the the computing power he had – an analog machine. It worked it’s way through a small set of linked partial differential equations.

Guess what he found? It’s one of the seminal moments in the history of Chaos Theory. He’d found the Lorentz Strange Attractor.

I thought it was an early digital machine, because the internally stored precision was greater than values printed, and later reentered in an attempt to replicate the run.

I cant keep up with science like you chaps
    but I will say this.
The more hysterical Hanson and his ilk get, the better.

The general public in Britain are already beginning to smell a rat over AGW
All they can see is higher taxes coming their way.

Yep the more they come on like swivel eyed nutters the quicker they will be discredited.

I was speaking entirely from (faulty) memory. I think you’re right.
