I heard an estimate that the former senator from TN has made 50 million bucks out of this. His mansion in TN uses 20 times the energy of the average US home but that’s OK because it’s a mansion and it has not a yard, or a garden or even grounds, it has an estate with a forest and you can offset a lot of carbon against a forest. For those of us not fortunate enough to own forests we can peddle to keep the lights on.

I suspect Mr Gore is worried because his whole business plan is nixed when they figure out how to exploit the Alberta oil-shale. There’s potentially enough juice in that to make the Saudis turn green.

Gore insists on first class, naturally and if you book him to witter on as an after-dinner speaker he wants collecting from the airport. But he only accepts a limo because he can’t be seen in an SUV.

Quite why large numbers of people haven’t clocked him for the cad he is is beyond me. I’ve even heard people saying America and the world would all be rosy if he’d won in 2000. You know what shuts them up? Forget hanging chads and electoral oddities in FL he didn’t even win TN, his home state! What a terrible way to repay the inventor of the internet, the sage of the age, a true Leonardo for our times and a complete berk.

Oh, I can’t think of a better example of the truth that is that the “Vice Presidency is not worth a pitcher of warm piss”. Well, there was J Danforth Quayle. There is always the Quaylester.

I heard a hundred million bucks.

    Who knows?

I do know that he left government worth one million and a couple of weeks ago stuck thirty million into an investment fund.

Nice reward for advocating that we all gotta set our own living standards lower.
