When do you think we will see the cries of outrage from the ‘human rights’ crowd?
It keeps getting uglier. The Columbus Dispatch is reporting tonight that an Ohio state employee is contradicting her superiors; the worker says she was ordered to rummage through Joe The Plumber’s records — and she stated the blindingly obvious truth that such searches had never been done before simply because a citizen had come to public light.
Do you think we will see any cries of outrage from the Obama machine?
In the Amerikkka of the Big O, do not, as a free citizen, embarrass your ‘leaders’.

I’m sure the Obots will be able to recover The One’s credibility. They’ll just tell the story of how Obama said No! to ID, and even John Galt was moved to contribute to his campaign. What better libertarian endorsement can you get than that?

We probably won’t, since the time left is short enough for them to ride it out. But if it were not, or if this continues circulating in the media after 11/4, then we will certainly see a press release expressing an utmost outrage, while distancing themselves from the whole thing.
Pa, that link of yours keeps bothering me for yet another reason: quite a few people have donated to the One’s campaign just to prove a “technical” point:-|

I don’t think I especially like watching teenagers march around in paramilitary uniforms chanting about political leaders.
Holy excrement…
Wow, doesn’t Obama seem so reasonable and personable in that video CC posted? He almost had me convinced! How can he lose?
From Sunfish’s video:
“Because of Obama I aspire to be the next automotive technician”
So… Before the light of the ONE illuminated the lands that kid couldn’t have conceived of becoming a car mechanic?
Right I’m off to make some tea. There should be milk in the fridge InshObama.
When I was that age, I mostly wanted to be a roadie for the Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, or Metallica, consume illegal plant material, and have strange women touch me in an improper manner. I think it’s great that a bunch of kids have a better vision than that.
But the marching and shouting and uniforms and stuff about The One…does this mean that they’re going to cook meth or sell pr0n on teh interwebz if Our Savior loses the election?
I should probably get a nap in before church, if Obama wills it (or at least wills my dog and my cat to quit chasing each other, speaking of which, if you’ve never seen a 10-pound blond tabby chasing an 80-pound retriever, it’s really something.)
Didn’t I post that video of the Obama Youth a couple of weeks ago? Scary isn’t it?
Tomorrow belongs to them.
Seriously though, don’t the people who organize and film these things have ANY historical perspective? Do they really not appreciate what it looks like?
Strange.
What is this civilian defense force all about anyway? Apart from it being as well funded as the DOD (gulp) anyone got any idea of its purpose and/or structure?
Defense against what exactly?
Well “citizens” obviously.
Cats-
I thought that you (Well, you and Nick between you) posted “Tommorow Belongs to Them” and “200 Random People Chant Vapid Bilingual Inanities About Change.” (the Spanish content was just as empty as the English, in case you were wondering).
My bad if you posted “Obama’s Not So Silent Drill Team” too.
As for this “citizen’s defense force..”
I don’t know what it is. It would be hard to fund it at DoD’s level, considering what DoD manages to spend. I’ll let Nick opine about how much we’re getting our money’s worth, because all I know about airplanes is that they’re really loud and the USAF doesn’t have to pass the TSA checkpoint before getting into their fighters or change planes at Newark prior to bombing Serbia.
I’ve heard everything from “It’s just going to be CERT[1]” to “It’s going to be snitches to rat out the politically-incorrect to the FBI” to “It’s Obama’s(PBUH) Brownshirts.”
The One(PBUH) has not fleshed out His(PBUH) proposal with any useful detail. I don’t have a problem with assuming the worst, but assumption is all it is for now.
[1] Community Emergency Response Teams. The idea is a locally-based, locally-controlled organization to provide support to the public in the event of a major disaster like a wildfire. IMHO, it’s a great idea in principle, but it duplicates efforts with the Red Cross and the Salvation Army, and FEMA involvement will inject heavy doses of incompetence-the one area where I think that Bush-bashing is 100% legit, but I don’t want to hijack the thread. Let me just say that everything that a Bush-run FEMA could screw up, an Obama-run FEMA would get far, far worse.
